New Feature: Private Text Chat

Have a secret? Want to share something with just one person and not the whole MingleRoom?

To initiate a private text chat with someone from within a MingleRoom click the 'Minglers' icon. Find the person you would like to message and click the 'Chat' button beside their name. A new window will open up where you can have your private conversation.

Tip: If you don't want the side window to open up automatically when someone enters a text message then go to the Public Chat window and uncheck the box at the bottom that says 'Automatically Open Chat'.

Stay tuned for Private Voice Chat...

Tutorial: Creating a Custom Avatar

Mingleverse is just like real life, so we want your avatar to look just like you.

To get to the Avatar Wizard click 'profile' in the top right corner of your screen, then click 'Edit Avatar'. You will be given 4 options:

1) Upload face - upload a picture of your face to be attached to one of our preset bodies.
2) Use my webcam- take a picture of your face with your webcam to be attached to one of our preset bodies.
3) Upload body - Upload a full body picture of yourself (that needs the background edited out) to use as your avatar.
4) Upload Pre-cut body - Upload a full body picture of yourself (with the background already taken out in a program like Photoshop) to use as your avatar.

For the first 3 options you will be taken to a screen to edit out the background. All you have to do is use your mouse to place points around your face. Simply click and make consecutive points until your entire head (or body) is highlighted. Then click 'Next'.

If you have uploaded a body you can change the brightness of the picture on this page and change the size of the image. If you have uploaded just your face you will also be asked to choose a body and can carefully place your head on the body by clicking your head and moving it around.

When you are happy with your avatar click 'Save' otherwise click 'Back'.
